Grabov Rat, the peninsula |
Grabov Rat [pronounced graabov raht in Croatian] is
a small peninsula on the southern shore of the island of
Brač [braach], Croatia, around 2 km eastwards of the city of Bol.

It can be approached on land by a dirt road, rough and
narrow, or by sea if you don’t mind scrambling over some rocks. |

The bottom of this page contains a

It was chiseled in year 1184, in Croatian Cyrillic, an old Slavic script,
into a church marble doorframe
(lintel) in the city of Povlja. The part
