Bobi and Rudi
The difference between 'not found' and 'non-existence' is well illustrated by the joke I heard long ago when a home phone line in Croatian cities was a very rare utility, a privilege. The joke is about two 'famous' characters, Bobi and Rudi.
Rudi (running into Bobi, very excited):
- I was gardening this morning and I unearthed a piece of wire. That means my ancestors already used phone!
Bobi (after some thinking):
- I’ve also did some gardening this morning and I found nothing. That means that my ancestors communicated by wireless technology!
