2006 Winter Olympic Games

I do not believe that any medal tracking by countries follows the Olympic spirit of Old Greece. And even if we generally accept the motion, what should be the criteria? Total number of medals or weighted medals or medals normalized to a certain parameter? Which parameter: population or gross domestic product (GDP) or GDP per capita or (as for winter games) average environment temperature or average yearly snowfall?

The graphic presentations below are not intended as proof of the superiority of any one way of country medal tracking. On the contrary, it is just a search for a meaning in any one of them.
