Do
I feel some sort of a relinquished patriotism when visiting Croatia?
No. No, really. At first I feel nothing of the sort, except a
surprise that Croatian is spoken all around me. Then, when it comes
to solving the current problems, I feel globally at home. Globally
threatened, that is.
Then
again, maybe yes. Yes in a sense of guiltiness. A feel of guilt
because I didn’t do something when I lived in Croatia. A feel of
guilt because something is not done because I’ve emigrated. Look,
for instance, on the photo (right, a rollover also): a current view
of an abandoned orchard in Zagreb, the orchard I was proud of thirty
years ago. Most of the fruit trees are dead or in very bad shape.
Yes, I know, the harm is done primarily by the natural aging.
However, if I look better than my former garden, that is because I
take care of myself. Also, it’s a winter garden without snow - how
do I look without cloth?
[By
the way, my new camera is Canon SX20is.]
