Sailing the stormy afternoon

Some
sailors in the Hvarski Kanal (the sea channel between the islands
of Brač and Hvar), in an
approaching storm, were a long way from being in control. One on
the photo below was in lot of trouble but managed to stay afloat:
he put the sail down and engaged the auxiliary engine.
At
the same time, in the same conditions, one sail went bye like
nothing matters. I ran for the binoculars to identify the ship’s
flag: it was Norwegian; they should be - they are - the best. |
