The annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), published since 1995, ranks countries by perceived levels of corruption among public officials. The graphs below correlate the 2005 CPI data with the gross national income (GNI) per capita and country average IQ for 155 countries. They are not intended as a proof of any particular relationship. On the contrary, it is just a search for a meaning in any one of them. |
GNI data are from World Bank statistics (http://siteresources.worldbank.org/DATASTATISTICS/Resources/GNIPC.pdf) and IQ data are those of Prof. Richard Lynn (http://www.rlynn.co.uk/pages/article_intelligence/t4.asp) plus some corrections and updates based on the article and links in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQ_and_the_Wealth_of_Nations), e.g. for Serbia as this country recently went through various state conglomerations.
